About Sunnah Steps Nursery

Sunnah Steps Nursery is a faith-based early years setting dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. We integrate the EYFS curriculum with Islamic values, fostering confidence, character, and a love for learning.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will ensure high-quality early years education, provide leadership to staff, and help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding policies.

Support and lead the teaching team, ensuring high standards of care and education.

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment, upholding Islamic values and positive early learning experiences.

Work closely with parents, building strong relationships and providing regular updates on their child’s progress.

Help manage staff training, development, and supervision, fostering a positive team culture.

Ensure accurate record-keeping, including health and safety, child development, and safeguarding documentation.

Assist with nursery enrolment, curriculum planning, and inspections, ensuring continuous improvement.

Requirements

✅ Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).

✅ Experience in a leadership role within an early years setting.

✅ Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.

✅ Passion for early childhood development and an understanding of Islamic values in education.

✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team.

✅ A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
